Delete your account and data

Shop Shahar customer app (com.aryalakash.shopshahar) and shopshahar.com.

Delete it yourself, in the app

This is the fastest route and takes effect immediately:

Open the Shop Shahar app and sign in.
Go to the Account tab.
Tap Delete account.
Enter your password to confirm.

Or ask us to delete it

If you no longer have the app or cannot sign in, email support@shopshahar.com from the email address on your account, or send us the phone number you registered with. We will verify that the account is yours and complete the deletion within 30 days.

Deletion cannot be undone. Your order history and saved addresses will no longer be available to you, and the same phone number can be used to register a fresh account afterwards.

What gets deleted

Destroyed straight away:

Your name, phone number and email address are removed from your account record
Your saved delivery addresses
Your basket and any saved items
Your notification tokens, so the app can no longer be sent messages
Your support messages
Your profile photo, if you had one
Every signed-in session, on every device

What we have to keep, and why

Records of orders you already placed are retained, including the delivery details captured at the time. We are required to keep transaction records for accounting and tax purposes, and a seller's payment history cannot be unpicked because a buyer closed their account. These records are no longer linked to an account anyone can sign into.

Product reviews you wrote stay on the product, with the author shown as a deleted user, so that product ratings other shoppers rely on remain accurate.
